Minnie’s childhood dream was to become what she called a “fashion fairy” where her responsibilities would include, creating all of the other fairies clothing and living in the forest amongst the flowers and nature. Although Minnie is now 23 a piece of her will always be stuck at 9 years old, the year her mom passed away.Her designs are inspired by the pieces of joy found throughout childhood nostalgia. While in reality she may not actually be a fairy she creates clothing that makes her and anyone else feel like a fairy in their everyday life. Minnie believes while children have a lot to learn from adults, adults have just as much to learn from children. Not everything has to be so serious all the time. Little things like wearing a nightgown that makes you feel like a princess instead of wearing an old t-shirt to bed can improve your quality of life. This is why Minnie created Wilhelmina, to bring fun back into adulthood.
